2027 test dates: what to expect

Free: every date on one printable checklist.

In short. No school has published its 2027/28 call yet (the call, or bando, is the official rulebook). Based on last year, registration should open from mid-October 2026. Cattolica opened first last cycle, on 15 October. Then came Campus Bio-Medico in late October, Humanitas in mid-November and San Raffaele in mid-December. In 2026, the 4 tests ran from 11 February to 25 March. Cattolica could add a session on 26 March. This page lists every 2026 date, and what to expect for 2027. We update it when each call is published.

Cattolica Rome	2026: 15 Oct 2025 to 18 Feb 2026. The €210 fee was due by 18 Feb. 2027/28: expected from mid-October 2026.
Campus Bio-Medico	2026: 29 Oct 2025 to 6 Feb 2026, 13:00. 2027/28: expected from late October 2026.
Humanitas	2026: 18 Nov 2025 to 26 Feb 2026, 12:00. 2027/28: expected from mid-November 2026.
San Raffaele	2026: 17 Dec 2025 to 6 Feb 2026, 12:00. Non-EU: 5 Feb. 2027/28: expected from mid-December 2026.

Before you register, know these rules. They were the 2026 rules.

Humanitas and San Raffaele: 15 minutes to pay. You pay the €200 fee right after you register. If time runs out, you start again.
How to pay: Humanitas takes cards only. San Raffaele takes PayPal, and a card works without a PayPal account.
Humanitas, round 2: late registration was open to 12 March 2026, for round 2 only.
San Raffaele, diploma from abroad: register at least 5 days before the deadline. The school needs time to check your documents.
Campus Bio-Medico: attach your B2 English certificate before you pay the €170 fee. Paying locks your application.
Campus Bio-Medico, both courses: Medicine and MedTech need one registration and one fee each.
Cattolica: if you pay the fee late, you cannot sit the test.

Cattolica Rome	2026: 25 Mar. An extra session on 26 Mar, only if needed. 2027: expected late March.

2 tries: San Raffaele and Humanitas. Your better score counts.
1 try a year: Cattolica and Campus Bio-Medico.
Where: Campus Bio-Medico is in person, in Rome. The other 3 run from home.

Results

Campus Bio-Medico	Provisional ranking by 27 Feb. Final ranking by 3 Jul.
Humanitas	One ranking, 30 Mar, after 12:00. There is no provisional ranking.
San Raffaele	Your score after each test. The ranking within 15 days of the last test.
Cattolica Rome	Your marked test from 14 Apr. Rankings: EU 21 Apr, non-EU 28 Apr.

Payments and steps after the test

A good score is not the end. These 2026 steps could cost a place if you missed them.

2 to 10 Mar	Campus Bio-Medico: pay €8,000 to enrol, if you got a place in the first ranking.
8 Apr, 12:00	Humanitas: pay €5,206, or lose the place.
9 Apr	San Raffaele, non-EU: pay €1,500 to confirm the place.
6 May	Cattolica Rome: pay €4,000. This one sum is the deposit and the first instalment.
9 to 22 Jun, 15:00	San Raffaele, EU: declare online that you will enrol. If you miss it, you are treated as withdrawn.
19 Jun, 13:00	Campus Bio-Medico: upload your English certificate, if you had none.
1 to 20 Jul	San Raffaele: enrol, with a C1 English certificate.
10 to 24 Jul	Campus Bio-Medico: second enrolment step, with a €140 regional tax and a €16 revenue stamp (a fixed state fee).

Some payments came before other schools' results. Campus Bio-Medico's €8,000 was due before Cattolica's test. Humanitas wanted €5,206 before Cattolica's rankings. The refund rules differ by school. Read paying one school before the others decide.

What to do this autumn

Pick your schools. See the 4 tests compared.
Applying to Campus Bio-Medico? Book your B2 English test now. You attach the certificate before you pay.
Applying to San Raffaele? You need a C1 English certificate to enrol in July. The EU call waives it if your last 2 years of high school were taught entirely in English. 2 consecutive years of college entirely in English also count.
Have a card or PayPal ready for the 15-minute payments.
Mark the expected weeks: mid-October, late October, mid-November and mid-December 2026.
