Official practice tests at the 4 schools
Free: a printable 2027 checklist for all 4 schools.
Get the free checklistIn short. 3 of the 4 schools give you an official online simulator of their test. Cattolica Rome's comes with the €210 application fee, and Cattolica says the test questions will not come from it. San Raffaele sells 3 simulations for €20, then €5 each. At Campus Bio-Medico, registering for the test opens one. Humanitas has a demo test, but it is a check of your computer and phone, not a practice paper. These are the schools' own tests, not the IMAT.
What each school gives you
These are the 2026/27 facts, from each school's own pages.
| School | Official practice | What it costs | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cattolica Rome | A simulator of about 3,000 questions, built from past exams | Included in the €210 application fee, which is not refunded | The real test questions will not come from it |
| San Raffaele | An online simulator of the International MD test, with the real timing and a report by section | €20 for 3 simulations, then €5 each | Questions come at random from UniSR's own historic database |
| Campus Bio-Medico | An online simulator of the test | Included in the €170 registration fee, per course | After the test, you see your score and each answer |
Humanitas is not in this table. Its official demo test is a set-up check, not a practice paper. See below.
Some material is free, before you pay anything:
- Cattolica: a logic database of 3,000 items, a guide with commented logic questions, a list of science topics, and 3 recommended texts for the ethics part.
- San Raffaele: a 20-question demo. It is a general demo, not one made for the International MD test.
- Campus Bio-Medico: a revised syllabus for 2026/27, in its call.
- Humanitas: the "Syllabi 2027" and the scoring sheets.
Cattolica Rome: a big simulator, but not the real questions
The simulator opens when you pay the €210 application fee. The fee is not refunded. Cattolica's call for 2027/28 is due on 14 October 2026, and applications close on 17 February 2027. The earlier you apply and pay, the longer you can use the simulator.
- About 3,000 questions, built from past exams and included as examples.
- Not the live questions. Cattolica says the questions in the written test will not be taken from the simulator. So use it to learn the style and the pace, not to memorise answers.
- The free logic database has no answers. It is still useful for timing yourself on logic, the largest part of the test.
Practise under the real rules. The test is 65 questions in 65 minutes. There is no calculator and no paper of any kind: you work things out on a digital sheet on screen. So practise working on the screen too. A wrong answer costs 0.25 of a point.
For every Cattolica fact, read the Cattolica guide.
San Raffaele: pay per simulation
San Raffaele sells an online simulator of its International MD test. UniSR calls it a precise simulation, with the correct times. The questions are drawn at random from the university's own historic database. At the end, you get a report by section.
- The price: €20 by card buys 3 simulations. Each one after that costs €5. So 6 simulations cost €35 in all.
- The free demo: 20 questions, at no cost. It is a general demo, not one made for the International MD test.
- Courses: UniSR says its preparation courses are run with Selexi, the company that runs its test. Check UniSR's page for what is open and what it costs.
The simulator matters more here than at the other schools. UniSR says in writing that there is no syllabus. It only puts the science at the level of a student finishing high school.
Practise under the real rules. The test is 60 questions in 80 minutes: 36 logic, problem solving and reading, and 24 science. You may use two sheets of blank paper and a pen, but no calculator. A wrong answer costs 0.25.
For every San Raffaele fact, read the San Raffaele guide.
Campus Bio-Medico: the simulator comes with registration
On UCBM's main call, the €170 registration fee opens an official online simulator of the test. You pay it once for each course, Medicine and Surgery or MedTech. Registering also lets you see, after the test, your score, your right, blank and wrong answers, and how you compare with other candidates.
- Pure science. The test is 20 biology, 20 chemistry and 20 physics questions, in 100 minutes. There is no logic section, so you need no logic practice for it.
- The syllabus. UCBM's revised syllabus for 2026/27 sets the topics, at the level of the Italian school-leaving exam. Use it beside the simulator.
- Scoring. A wrong answer costs 0.2. With 5 options, even a blind guess gains a little: 0.04 points on average.
Registering early for the simulator? On the main call, paying the fee locks your application. Attach your B2 English certificate before you pay. In 2026, registration opened on 29 October 2025.
Non-EU applicants living abroad have a separate call, with a €100 fee. Read about the non-EU call.
For every Campus Bio-Medico fact, read the Campus Bio-Medico guide.
Is there an official HUMAT practice test?
Humanitas has a "Demo HU Admission Test". Its technical guide recommends it as a technical test. It checks your internet connection, the computer you will use, and the phone that joins the Zoom room. You also install Safe Exam Browser through it. The guide does not describe the demo's questions. So treat it as a set-up check, not a practice paper.
In 2026, the demo was open from 16 February to 4 March, and from 9 to 17 March, 14:00 to 23:59. Do it early, so problems show up before test day.
For the content of the test, use the "Syllabi 2027" and the scoring sheets. For the new test, Humanitas publishes a call, a syllabus, scoring sheets and a technical guide. None of these is a full past paper. Read what Humanitas publishes, and the 2027 syllabus.
One more official tool comes after the test. After each round, you can see your own test through a link in the registration portal. In 2026, round 1 was on 5 and 6 March, and round 2 on 18 and 20 March. So if you sit both rounds, go through your round 1 test before round 2.
Practise under the real rules. The HUMAT is 60 questions in 120 minutes, in 3 parts, each on its own clock. No calculator. You may use blank paper and a pen: up to five sheets in the call, two in the technical guide.
Practise under each test's rules
A simulator helps most when you take it like the real test: timed, with no calculator, and scored with the school's own penalty.
| School | Questions and time | A wrong answer costs | A blind guess, on average |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cattolica Rome | 65 in 65 minutes | 0.25 | Gains nothing |
| San Raffaele | 60 in 80 minutes | 0.25 | Not known: the call gives no option count |
| Campus Bio-Medico | 60 in 100 minutes | 0.2 | Gains 0.04 points |
| Humanitas | 60 in 120 minutes, in 3 timed parts | A quarter of the question's points | Gains nothing |
You cannot use a calculator at Humanitas, Cattolica or San Raffaele, or at Campus Bio-Medico's test in Rome. Cattolica, San Raffaele and Campus Bio-Medico allow one only as an approved aid for a disability or learning difference. For what score got a place in 2026, read the 2026 results.
Where our practice fits
Start with the official material: it comes from the schools themselves. Our practice adds timed papers with every answer explained, scored with each school's own rules.
Our questions are our own. We never copy the schools' databases or simulators. Our practice covers the logic and science parts. It has no Humanitas Academic Literacy questions, and no Cattolica ethics or general knowledge questions.

Practice access opens in November 2026.
